Emeas (Boggat bestiary)

A series of hand made characters illustrations for a bestiary of a fairy based world as part of final year BA illustration course in 2012
boggart description: Emeas
This little type of boggart is often confused with being a rabbit, with its unusual fur tufts, which poke above grass when it runs. Its ears and long whiskers help it sense its surroundings and any movements around it. The rattling of its beaded whiskers help it communicate with the group to find its location, but these can also be used to defend against attacks on its territory, by scaring away their opposition with a wall of sound slightly raspier than that of a cricket chirp.

Brownies: The Eme-as is difficult to find as many move territory if they feel there is a human threat. They are organized and work within a group. Up to seventy have been seen in one group as they live in a social dynamic, they will often live alongside other grass or woodland boggarts.
